Pregnancy is an exciting time in a woman’s life but can also have it’s problems. Morning sickness, fatigue and insomnia are not uncommon and changing body shape may can cause pelvic, rib, low back or leg pain.
Here at the clinic we use interventions such as acupuncture, physiotherapy, osteopathy and nutrition to assist women when they have struggle with a less than easy time.
We can also provide practitioner grade supplements to ensure a mum-to-be receives the right levels of micro-nutrients needed during pregnancy.
If baby is not in the optimal position your obstetrician may recommend coming to an acupuncturist because there is some evidence* to support our traditional method of ‘turning the baby’ with moxa. This is best done between 27-37 weeks and depends on babies position.
Here at the clinic we also use acupuncture, physio and osteopathy to prepare the body for optimal labouring. We can provide couple support and teach birthing partners acupressure points and techniques that can help the mother at time of birth.
